FOR BLACK BOYS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE HUE GETS TOO HEAVY is returning to London's West End at the Garrick Theatre for a limited run of 9 weeks only!
A group of six young, Black men meet for a group therapy session, discussing everything from fashion tips to father figures, jollof rice to long lost loves. They discuss their good days and bad, but most of all let their hearts and imaginations run wild.
Following sold out runs at the New Diorama Theatre and Royal Court Theatre, and a successful run at London's Apollo Theatre last year, award-winning play FOR BLACK BOYS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE WHEN THE HUE GETS TOO HEAVY, written and directed by Ryan Calais Cameron explores the lives and emotions of a group of young, Black men in a modern day society. Caught on the threshold of fantasy and reality, this play uses movement, music, storytelling and verse to show clashes and connection between individuals and their personal lives and experiences.
